The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is here! It runs through June 1. Not only is it beautiful, there are abundant opportunities to learn! Here are two that you might not know about.

The first is Monarch Butterfly Research. This takes place on Tuesday mornings at 9:30 at Butterfly Landing. Members of Disney’s Animals, Science and Environmental Team will help you to learn more about these fascinating and magnificent creatures. You’ll learn about butterfly research at Epcot as well as conservation. Monarch Butterfly Research takes place weather permitting.

The second is a presentation on Purple Martins. You’ve likely walked past Purple Martin nests at Walt Disney World and might not have even noticed them. Purple Martins are fascinating birds that travel thousands of miles. Join members of Disney’s Animals, Science and Environmental Team on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 1:00 (weather permitting) between Test Track and Creations Shop. Look for the nests along the water. This presentation is fantastic, you won’t be disappointed.
