Sunday Savings Series: New Year’s Eve at Sunset Walk

This place will be packed on New Year’s Eve!

Walt Disney World is spectacular on New Year’s Eve, but it’s not the only game in town. Sunset Walk is a hop, skip, and a jump from Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Ever see those strange lights in the distance from the Animal Kingdom parking lot? That’s how close Sunset Walk is! The Promenade at Sunset Walk holds special events all year long. One of the biggest days of the year is December 31. Because two of the events are free, I’m including this as part of my Sunday Savings Series.

There are three different events that will take place at Sunset Walk on December 31. The first is Happy Noon Year. It will start at 11:30 AM, and run until 1:30 PM. This event is geared towards those who can’t stay up until midnight. There will be a DJ, games, lots of bubbles, street performers, and more. Learn more information and make your reservations here.

The second event at Sunset Walk on December 31 is New Year’s Eve Lil’ Rockers Countdown. This takes place at Rock & Brews Restaurant, so I guess it’s not technically free. But it is for kids 12 and under, they’ll eat free with the purchase of an adult meal (limit two per adult). New Year’s Eve Lil’ Rockers Countdown will run from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Learn more information here.

The big party on December 31 at Sunset Walk is Rocking New Year 2026. It starts at 8:00 PM. There will be live music by Pandora’s Box: The Tribute to Aerosmith, DJs, street performers, stilt walkers, confetti, a laser show, fireworks, and so much more. Rocking New Year 2026 is free to attend, but there’s a VIP package available. Learn more and reserve your spot here.

Parking for Sunset Walk is free, but during an event, those spots can be a bit hard to come by. If you can’t find a space, park in the parking lot for Ross and walk over. (If you’re driving, watch out for pedestrians. They’ll be everywhere!) No outside foods or beverages are allowed. Sunset Walk is usually pet friendly, but pets aren’t allowed at Rocking New Year 2026. You also can’t bring blankets, chairs, or umbrellas to that event.
