IAAPA Expo is the annual trade show that covers all things pertaining to the attractions industry. It takes place each November at the Orange County Convention Center. This is my fourth year attending as hosted media. Here is the press release about the events on day one.

IAAPA Expo 2025 officially opened its doors today at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC), welcoming attractions industry professionals from around the world to the premier global gathering for innovation, networking, and education.
With more than 38,000 expected attendees, 1,100+ exhibitors, and a robust lineup of over 170 education sessions, receptions, and networking events, this year’s event is set to inspire, connect, and shape the future of the attractions industry.
The Expo kicked off with the highly anticipated Opening Ceremony in the IAAPA Theater, sponsored by Simtec Systems, Inc. This year’s show, themed “Symphony of Memories,” celebrates the heart of the attractions industry — the power to create memories that last a lifetime. That is the very business we’re in: giving families, friends, and colleagues the chance to escape the routines of everyday life and immerse themselves in experiences that ignite joy, wonder, and connection.
“Expo reflects the extraordinary creativity and innovation of our industry,” said Jakob Wahl, President and Chief Executive Officer of IAAPA. “Every exhibitor, every attendee, and every session represents our shared passion for creating memorable moments and happiness. The attractions industry doesn’t just entertain — it transforms lives, strengthens communities, and continues to grow as a global economic force.”
The show floor opens today with thousands of products and innovations on display — from groundbreaking ride technology and themed design concepts to advanced food and beverage solutions and operational tools. Attendees can also explore returning favorites such as the Digital Signage Innovation Lab, Haunting Grounds, and the IAAPA Street Market, featuring live demonstrations and tastings of the latest culinary trends.
This year’s Expo once again takes center stage, where the biggest global industry news stories unfold. With over 30 scheduled press conferences, exhibitors will debut major rides, unveil innovative products, and share important industry updates. It’s where the biggest stories in attractions take shape — and where the next wave of innovation begins.
“This is where our industry comes together to imagine what’s next,” said Michael Shelton, Chief Operating Officer of IAAPA. “IAAPA Expo is the premier event for the global attractions industry — a place where ideas take shape, partnerships are built, and learning opportunities inspire the next generation of attractions.”
This week’s event also includes hallmark gatherings such as the Leadership Breakfast featuring Mark Woodbury, Women in the Industry Lunch, and IAAPA Celebrates — an exclusive, after-hours experience at Universal Epic Universe, offering attendees the chance to experience the newest theme park in Central Florida.
IAAPA Expo 2025 is more than an event — it’s a celebration of creativity, innovation, and the enduring spirit of fun that defines the attractions industry.
