Crowds at the Magic Kingdom tend to be a bit lighter on nights when one of Mickey’s Parties is taking place. That said, the opposite is also true. The Magic Kingdom crowds are often heavier on days when there is no party that evening. They’re even worse if there are several parties that week. Plan accordingly.
