Want a sneak peek at the future of Walt Disney World? Just head to Walt Disney Presents at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Not only can you get a glimpse inside the mind of the genius himself, but you can see what is planned for the resort that bears his name!

At the end of Walt Disney Presents there is a display on the left. In the past it’s been home to things like models of Toy Story Land and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and more recently a look at the Disney Wish. This area has now been updated to show the future of three new areas planned for Walt Disney World.

The first is Monstropolis. While the name of Monsters Inc. Land has yet to be officially announced, this looks like an unofficial announcement. In the display for Monstropolis there are concept drawings of the roller coaster, as well as the overall land. There are also figures of Mike and Sulley. There’s no new information, but it’s still exciting to see it all together.

I’ll jump over the middle section for a moment. The final part of the new display features Piston Peak. It isn’t a whole new land, but will be part of Frontierland. The display has more concept drawings, as well as figures of Lightning McQueen and Mater. Again, there’s no new information, but it’s still cool.

The middle section is what I was most excited to see. There is a model of Tropical Americas! There is also concept art to help put everything into perspective. In my opinion, the model has a few too many trees. They make it hard to get a true feel for what to expect. Hopefully, the trees in the model show that there will be plenty of shade in the new land. The Mayan Temple for the new Indiana Jones ride is in the back of the model, and I wasn’t the only one who noticed it! I have a feeling that I’ll stop by this model each time there’s new information released about Tropical Americas.

One thing is missing from the updated Walt Disney Presents display. There is nothing about the Villains Land that was announced for the Magic Kingdom. I assume that means that it’s last on the list of projects right now. Also, as far as I know, construction hasn’t yet started on Villains Land. It has on Tropical Americas, Monstropolis, and Piston Peak. That could be why it isn’t part of the display.

Walt Disney Presents is always a great place to wander through. You can get out of the sun and away from the crowds for a little while. You can enjoy the air conditioning and learn more about Walt Disney himself. Now that the display has been updated, it’s a must-visit destination! For me, though, it’s always must-visit. I hope that Walt Disney Presents never closes.
