My family and I recently experienced Minnie’s Seasonal Dining at Hollywood & Vine for the first time. I was asked a lot of questions about the experience, so I thought I’d share a quick rundown.
Minnie’s Seasonal Dining is a character dining experience that adapts. It features four characters; Minnie, Mickey, Goofy, and Pluto. (Specific characters are not guaranteed and could change without notice, although I don’t see that happening.) The characters are wearing outfits that you’re unlikely to see elsewhere.
What is unique about Minnie’s Seasonal Dining is that the outfits change. The year starts off with Silver Screen Dine, where characters are dressed in their Hollywood best. Next is Springtime Dine, with lots of pastels and florals. That is followed by Summertime Dine, with the characters in vacation mode! Halloween Dine starts in mid-August, and features Halloween costumes. The final Seasonal Dining experience is Holiday Dine, where Minnie and her friends are ready to celebrate the most magical time of the year.
The food at Hollywood & Vine is served buffet style. All guests three and older will be charged, there is no “just sitting” while others enjoy the buffet.
Minnie’s Seasonal Dine is currently held for lunch and dinner. Starting on October 12, breakfast will be included as well. Through October 11, breakfast features Disney Junior characters.
The character interaction at Hollywood & Vine is top notch. We had plenty of time with each of the four characters, and they came around more than once. The food is also very good. I’m vegetarian and my daughter is vegetarian with a daily allergy. There was more than enough on the buffet without having to speak to a chef. My husband is pescatarian, and he was more than thrilled with the choices!
Reservations are highly recommended for Hollywood & Vine. Minnie’s Seasonal Dining is quite popular. It’s also expensive, so budget for it. Hollywood & Vine is one table service credit on the Disney Dining Plan. Annual Passholders receive a ten percent discount.
As much as I’d love to return to experience all five seasons of Minnie’s Seasonal Dining, this one is probably just for special occasions for us. When we were there we were celebrating my husband’s birthday. That said, my birthday is in April, and I’d love to see those Springtime Dine outfits…
