We’ve known for months that Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit will close sometime this year. We now have a date. The final day of operation for Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit will be Sunday, August 17. It will be permanently closed the following day. We don’t yet know what will take the place of Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit. All that Universal Orlando Resort says is that it will, “make way for a new experience.” Considering that Minion Land is now in the front of Universal Studios Florida, I wouldn’t be surprised if the “new experience” is based on the Minions. But that’s just a guess.
