This is a new one for me. Recently, my bag set off the scanners. I had an umbrella, but I held it in front of me, so I knew that wasn’t it. The security guard told me that most likely it was because my bag was heavy, the scanner couldn’t identify everything. Remember, if you’re called over to have your bag checked, please be polite. The security staff is trying to keep us all safe.
