A new Lightning Lane option is coming to Walt Disney World. It is aimed at those who don’t like to schedule their Lightning Lane choices ahead of time. Be warned, it comes with a hefty price tag.
Lightning Lane Premier Pass will debut at Walt Disney World on October 30 for some guests. It works pretty much the same way as the single park Lightning Lane Multi Pass in that you get to skip the Standby Line on select attractions. The difference is that with Lightning Lane Multi Pass you need to schedule your attractions ahead of time. With the new Lightning Lane Premier Pass you can get in the Lightning Lane line when it’s convenient for you.
All Lightning Lane rides are included. That means you won’t need to purchase Individual Lightning Lanes for the park you’re in.
There are two downsides to the new Lightning Lane Premier Pass. First, you can still only use it once per attraction. You will not be able to ride Rise of the Resistance over and over again. The second is that there is no multi-park option. You can use Lightning Lane Premier Pass only in the park that you purchase it for.
As I said, Lightning Lane Premier Pass comes with a price. When the program launches it will cost between $129 and $449 a day, plus tax. The price will fluctuate, depending on the day and the park.
You can learn more about the new Lightning Lane Premier Pass on the Walt Disney World website. This is just a general overview.
Disneyland is also rolling out Lightning Lane Premier Pass. Just like with Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Disneyland’s is similar but there are differences. Learn more about it here.
