A new Lightning Lane option is coming to Disneyland. It is aimed at those who don’t like to schedule their Lightning Lane choices ahead of time. Be warned, it comes with a hefty price tag.
Lightning Lane Premier Pass will debut at Disneyland on October 23. It works pretty much the same way as the single park Lightning Lane Multi Pass in that you get to skip the Standby Line on select attractions. The difference is that with Lightning Lane Multi Pass you need to schedule your attractions ahead of time. With the new Lightning Lane Premier Pass you can get in the Lightning Lane line when it’s convenient for you.
All Lightning Lane rides are included. That means you won’t need to purchase Individual Lightning Lanes.
Unlike at Walt Disney World, Lightning Lane Premier Pass will work in both Disneyland Parks. If your ticket includes Park Hopper you can go back and forth between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. The downside is that you can use it only once per attraction.
As I said, Lightning Lane Premier Pass comes with a price. When the program launches it will cost $400 a day, plus tax. That price will last through the end of 2024. After that, the price will fluctuate between $300 and $400, depending on the day.
You can learn more about the new Lightning Lane Premier Pass on the Disneyland website. This is just a general overview.
Walt Disney World is also rolling out Lightning Lane Premier Pass. Just like with Lightning Lane Multi Pass, the Walt Disney World version is similar but there are differences. Learn more about it here.
