Hash House a Go Go in Winter Garden

 

Hash House a Go Go is a restaurant chain that is primarily on the West Coast. They have now brought their “twisted farm food” to Winter Garden, Florida. The restaurant is located in Flamingo Crossings, which is just minutes from any of the Walt Disney World theme parks. I had heard great things about this new eatery, so my family and I decided to check it out. I wasn’t hosted for this review, I received no free meal or discount.

When we arrived at Hash House a Go Go, we immediately received a warm welcome. The restaurant is quite large, and it’s bright. There is a tractor in the front near the entrance. Along one wall there’s a bar. The pictures throughout the restaurant feature farms and tractors. Both of my parents lived on farms when they were teenagers (that’s how they met) so I liked the theme. There are several televisions scattered throughout the restaurant, in case there’s a game that you don’t want to miss.

Our waiter was fantastic. We have some special dietary restrictions, and since he couldn’t answer all of our questions he immediately brought someone who could. She then went through the menu with us, letting us know what could be adapted and what couldn’t. She also talked to the chef. They went above and beyond to accommodate us.

One thing that is great about Hash House a Go Go is that they serve breakfast all day. Want pancakes after leaving Disney’s Animal Kingdom? Now you know where to go, or should I say go go! You can get eggs or waffles as well.

There’s more than just breakfast foods on the menu. There are burgers, pork, salmon, and, plenty of chicken dishes. My daughter’s fiancé said it was the best chicken and waffles that he ever had. The portions are huge, you will not leave hungry.

At Hash House a Go Go in Winter Garden you’ll find a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. It would be the perfect place to fuel up before hitting the theme parks, or to stop by at the end of a long day. With the proximity to Walt Disney World (all four theme parks are less than 15 minutes away) it’s a great stop for lunch or dinner when you need a break from the crowds. If you have kids, ask your server about the Kids Eat Free promotion.

It’s open from 8:00 AM through 9:00 PM, Sundays through Thursdays, and 8:00 AM through 10:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. There is a pet-friendly outdoor patio, but call 407-205-0330 first to make sure they’re seating outside. That’s also the number to call if you want to make a reservation.

Hash House a Go Go has delicious food, a friendly staff, and a convenient location. If you’re looking for a place to eat outside of the Disney Bubble, give it a try! Or maybe I should say give it a go go…
