The holidays are around the corner, which means that it’s time to make those vacation plans! If you’ll be in Central Florida during the 2023 holiday season, you might want to consider adding an evening at Give Kids the World Village to your itinerary. Not only will you have an incredible time, but you will help critically ill children and their families to have incredible times as well.
On Tuesday, May 3, I was part of an invited media group. We learned a bit about the upcoming holiday season, and got a sneak peek at what to expect.
I’ll start with the sad news. There will be no Night of a Million Lights this year. That doesn’t mean that there won’t be lights and that you won’t have a chance to see them. There will be lights, 1.6 million of them, lighting up Give Kids the World Village. It will be in a more intimate setting.
There are three different holiday offerings this year. I’ve already shared about the Holiday Soiree, which will take place on November 11. This most likely will sell out, so if you plan to go don’t put off buying your tickets any longer.
New this year will be the VIP Guided Tours. This will be your chance to see Give Kids the World Village all dressed up for the holidays. The VIP Guided Tours will last 90 minutes and be held on Friday and Saturday evenings. There will be 12 groups each night of eight nights, limited to 25 people per tour. You’ll learn many behind the scenes facts about Give Kids the World, and hear stories of how it’s changed the lives of so many. There are backdrops and picture opportunities along the tour, making it easy to take that perfect Christmas in Florida photo! You’ll be able to learn more information and book your tour soon at gktw.org/holidayvip. It’s going to be an unforgettable time.
If you’re looking for the perfect place to celebrate, how about a Balcony Dessert Party? You can book a party for up to 30 people, and you can customize it for your occasion. A Balcony Dessert Party can be whatever you want it to be; a holiday gathering, a birthday party, a vow renewal, even a proposal. The Balcony Dessert Party includes desserts and a private tour of the Village. To learn more, email EliseB [at] gktw [dot] org.
In October, Give Kids the World is going to have its busiest month yet. The Village will host 909 families! Children and their families come from all over the world to have their wishes granted. The experience centers on the Wish child, but all members of the family are taken care of while they are there. Approximately 190,000 children have had their wishes granted at Give Kids the World Village. They have come from all 50 states and over 75 countries. Even if you can’t visit during the holiday season, consider making a donation if you are able. You can learn more about Give Kids the World here.
