National Ice Cream Day is coming up on July 16 and we’re celebrating by sharing seven incredible ice cream spots at Walt Disney World Resort, including the newest treats to try this summer! From hand-scooped ice cream, specialty sundaes, to soft-serve ice cream – here’s a roundup of classic options so you can pick the best ice cream at Walt Disney World for you and your crew.

1Magic Kingdom Park – Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies for Ice Cream and Shakes

Looking for soft-serve ice cream at Magic Kingdom Park? Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies in Tomorrowland has soft-serve in a cone or cup, sundaes, floats, smoothies, and shakes that are out of this world.

Plus, new Disney snack alert! We found out that a new treat has landed on the menu: the Asteroid Shake. This galactic goodie is a milk shake with hot fudge, whipped cream, chocolate doughnut holes (arranged like Mickey Ears!), and graham cracker crumbs.

2. EPCOT – L’ Artisan des Glaces for Croque Glacé

If you’re traveling through EPCOT and searching for a unique ice cream sandwich option, one of the treats you must try is the Croque Glacé at L’ Artisan des Glaces located in the France Pavilion!

What is Croque Glacé you ask? Croque Glacé is similar to an ice cream sandwich, it has a scoop of ice cream pressed in a warm, homemade brioche bun with your choice of sauce. Another exquisite EPCOT ice cream option is the Macaron. Here, this Macaron is actually an ice cream sandwich with chocolate or seasonal flavors of ice cream! L’ Artisan des Glaces in EPCOT is known for their handcrafted treats with ice cream and sorbet. As you enter, you’ll see a list of the current seasonal ice cream flavors so be sure to keep your eye out for what’s new each time you visit.

3. Disney’s Hollywood Studios – Hollywood Scoops for Hand-Dipped Ice Cream

If you’re making your way to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, stroll down Sunset Boulevard and treat yourself like the star you are to some hand-dipped ice cream at Hollywood Scoops. Here, you’ll find a Mickey Brownie Sundae, where the brownie is not only Mickey-shaped but also house-made!

5. Disney’s BoardWalk Ice Cream for a Mickey Kitchen Sink

In the EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios Resort Area, you’ll find a newer spot for ice cream at Disney’s BoardWalk called BoardWalk Ice Cream. This location is inspired by Beaches & Cream Soda Shop, home of the famous Kitchen Sink sundae.

Finally, while shopping at Disney Springs, swing by Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop for handmade ice cream sundaes with premium Ghirardelli chocolate toppings! Located at Marketplace in Disney Springs, this shop has two sides — one with specialty sundaes and the other with shakes and more. Today, we’re focusing on the side where you can find specialty sundaes like the World Famous Hot Fudge Sundae, there’s even a non-dairy version of this famous dessert!

Pictured above is a can’t-miss classic ice cream delight – a Banana Split with vanilla, strawberry and chocolate ice cream topped with crushed pineapple, sweetened strawberries and handmade hot fudge served with a banana, whipped cream, diced almonds and a cherry.
