5:30 Kickback at Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando – Disney Springs Area

Recently I shared with you my experience as part of an invited media group at Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando – Disney Springs Area. We enjoyed the free breakfast buffet, and then toured this beautiful property. I was impressed.

My daughter and I were invited back to Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando – Disney Springs Area, this time to try 5:30 Kickback. This is something that is offered at all Drury Hotels, and it could be a game changer if you want to save money.

Each evening from 5:30 until 7:30 you can enjoy more free food. You could use it as a snack, but you can easily fill up and make it your dinner. Each evening there are baked potatoes, salad, mixed vegetables, hot dogs, and nachos with cheese and/or salsa. There’s also soup or chili.

The evening entrees rotate. I was there on a Wednesday, so it was Alfredo Penne Pasta with or without chicken slices. Other evenings it could be BBQ Sliders or Meatballs in Gravy. It’s all you care to eat.

5:30 Kickback doesn’t stop there. You’ll also receive a ticket for three free cocktails for each night of your stay. The coupon can also be used for wine or tap beer. If you don’t drink or are under 21, there are fountain beverages and coffee.

Another bonus that you’ll find at Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando – Disney Springs Area is free popcorn! That’s available for more than just 5:30 Kickback, but the popcorn machines are in the same area. It’s decent popcorn. I liked that it wasn’t covered in salt, but there was salt there if you wanted to add some.

Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando – Disney Springs Area has free coffee available 24/7 in the lobby, and it’s not your typical “hotel coffee”. It’s a special blend, and it’s really good.

We planned to stay to check out the fireworks view, but the weather had other ideas. I hope to return on a night that isn’t stormy and share that with you as well.

You will pay to park at Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando – Disney Springs Area, but there’s no resort fee like many local hotels so that balances things out. There are all kinds of discounts, like discounts for Annual Passholders, Florida Residents, and Military and Veterans. It’s an Official Walt Disney World Hotel, which comes with more benefits.
