Outdoor rides won’t shut down if just rain in moving in With the Rainy Season here I thought I’d mention this again. Outdoor rides at Walt Disney World will not close if it’s raining. Lightning is a different story. Disney keeps a close eye on the RADAR, and when lightning is nearby the outdoor rides will close, and the queue will most likely be cleared. That’s why sometimes a ride will close when it isn’t raining, because there’s lightning in the vicinity. The Disney Skyliner will shut down as well.
