From 2022I shared with you previously some of the special merchandise that will be available for Star Wars Day, May the 4th. If you’re headed to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on Thursday to pick up some of these special items, here is what you’ll need to know.
A Virtual Queue has been set up for the May the 4th merchandise. If there is something that you really want, go this route. You’ll find the Virtual Queue in the My Disney Experience App, just choose Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Virtual Queue will open at 7:00 AM. This queue will be used only on May 4.
You’ll need to have valid admission and a Disney Park Pass reservation for Disney’s Hollywood Studios in order to join the Virtual Queue. If you’re an Annual Passholder it looks like there are no reservations available. There are still spots for regular ticket holders. There’s always a chance that more reservations will open for Annual Passholders, so don’t give up.
The merchandise will be sold at Stage 1 Company Store. That’s located near Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano in the Gran Avenue section of the park.
Last year I didn’t try for a spot in the Virtual Queue, but I did go to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on May the 4th. I was there in the late afternoon and the Virtual Queue was no longer needed, we walked right in. That said, the merchandise was pretty picked over.
If you go to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on Star Wars Day, head to the Millennium Falcon near the end of the night. There’s a lightsaber meetup scheduled for 9:45. Arrive early, it’s going to be amazing.
