Don’t throw out your older MagicBands! Older MagicBands should still work for anything that is a touchpoint. You can use them to enter the theme parks, for Disney Genie+ rides, and even to open your door if you’re staying on property. What they might not work for is picking up ride photos. The batteries are supposed to last about two years, but that isn’t always the case. If you just want to use an old MagicBand for touchpoints, any that are linked to your name in your My Disney Experience account should work.
