He’s back!The Epcot International Festival of the Arts is here, and once again one of the hottest items is the Figment Popcorn Bucket. Last year Disney underestimated the popularity of the buckets, and the way the situation was handled was a mess! This year the mistakes seem to have been corrected, and so far things are running much more smoothly.
You’ll pick it up inside Figment’s Inspiration StationHere’s what you need to do to purchase a Figment Popcorn Bucket.
If you haven’t already, download the My Disney Experience App on your phone. (My phone is an iPhone, but it should be similar on Android.) You’ll need it to get your figment Popcorn Bucket. Once you’re on the app, sign into your account. On the homepage, look for the + at the bottom. Touch that.
Look for the +Several choices will come up. Pick Order Food.
This will pop upThe page Select an Arrival Window will appear. Scroll down until you see EPCOT Souvenir Release. The choices are arranged by park, look for Epcot.
There he is!On the next page, you’ll choose when you want to pick up your Figment Popcorn Bucket. The first time listed will be the earliest time available. You can see other times available under Select an Arrival Window. If a time isn’t listed, that time is full.
American cuisine???Next, you’ll see Limited Time Offerings, with a picture of the Figment Popcorn Bucket and the price. Touch that.
There he is againThere are two things that you’ll need to do on the next screen. First, choose your quantity. There is a limit of two Figment Popcorn Buckets. Next, hit Add to place them into your cart.
There’s a limit of two per transactionYou’ll then have the option to modify or to move ahead. If you made a mistake, choose Modify and fix it. If you’re happy, pick Review Order Summary.
Almost there!Look your order over to see that everything is correct. Scroll all the way to the bottom, and hit Purchase. The purchase button must be all green for your order to count.
If you don’t see the green like the bottom one, you haven’t completed your purchaseThat’s it! When it’s near your time, head to Figment’s Imagination Station in the Odyssey Pavilion. It’s the strange shaped building off to the side between Test Track and Mexico. When I was there a Cast Member was keeping people on the right side of the entrance and letting them in when it was their time. If you aren’t sure what to do when you arrive, just ask.
The line on opening day, much better than the six hour wait last year!Spots will fill up, so if you plan to head to Epcot follow these instructions before you leave for the park. Remember, even though the Epcot International Festival of the Arts runs until February 20, the Figment Popcorn Buckets could run out before that. If you want one (or two), you shouldn’t wait.
