The heat of the summer may be behind us, but that doesn’t mean that it’s not warm at Epcot! Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a place where you could sit down, enjoy something cold to drink, and recharge your phone? There is, at least through November 19.
It’s called the Florida Blue Medicare Lounge, and it’s located inside the still unopened Restaurant Marrakesh. Since it’s located in the back of the Morocco Pavilion, you can say that it truly is a hidden gem.
To enter the Florida Blue Medicare Lounge, you need to have a Guest Pass. It’s easy enough to get one. There’s a QR Code that you can scan at the entrance that will take you to the simple form that you need to fill out. Here’s the link if you want to fill it out or read the terms and conditions ahead of time. You can also find it by searching for “Florida Blue” in the My Disney Experience App. You only need to register once during the season, and the one pass is good for your whole party. Screenshot it so that you can easily find it again.
Cast Members at the door will ask to see the pass. If you don’t have one, they will not tell you how to get one. I guess that they might if asked, but when we were there the CMs were not freely offering that information.
We were given cooling towels when we entered. Once inside, you can enjoy some AC and a cold drink. There is spa water, cold brew coffee, and Moroccan mint tea. There is a charging station in one corner. Pick a locker, plug your phone in, and choose a four digit number to lock it in. Easy peasy. There is also a backdrop for a photo if you’ve always dreamed of having the words “Florida Blue Medicare Lounge” in the background of your Walt Disney World pictures.
While there is nothing about the Florida Blue Medicare Lounge that is earthshattering, it’s still a nice little spot, and it’s free to use. A midday break can make a big difference at Epcot, even at this time of the year. It is also a good place to seek shelter if there’s a quick storm. If you decide to stop by, the Florida Blue Medicare Lounge is open daily from noon until 6:00. The final day is November 19. Enjoy!
