Fourth of July Fireworks at Walt Disney World

Harmonious will run, but will there be an extra ending?

Since the Fourth of July is almost here, I thought I’d give you a quick rundown on where to see fireworks. Last year, the fireworks had just returned, but there were no special holiday shows.

Here is what I know so far for 2022. Disney’s Celebrate America! – A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky will take place on both July 3 and 4. Disney Enchantment will not run either night. The show will be at 9:20, and it is weather permitting. Often the Fourth of July fireworks are livestreamed on Disney Parks Blog, if there’s an announcement I’ll let you know and share the link.

When IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth was the nighttime show at Epcot, there would be an extra ending for Independence Day. It’s unclear if that will be the case with Harmonious. The Walt Disney World website states the following:

Fourth of July Fireworks

Prepare for patriotism at is finest when Walt Disney World Resort commemorates Independence Day in the skies above EPCOT and Magic Kingdom park!

That’s the closest that I’ve found to an announcement. (That’s also a copy/paste, it should say “its” instead of “is”. The Walt Disney World website does have mistakes from time to time.)  Even if there is no extra ending, if you’re at Epcot you’ll still be able to see fireworks. Harmonious will take place at 9:00.

Remember, you don’t need to be in a theme park to see the fireworks. There are some great viewing spots nearby. That said, Disney might decide to limit the number of people at these spots. If you want to watch from one of the resort hotels, take Disney transportation and arrive early. You won’t be allowed to park at a resort just to see the fireworks.

There are also fireworks at other area theme parks and elsewhere in Central Florida.
