DIS Con serves two purposes. It is a convention, with guests that hold a special place in the hearts of Disney fans. It is also a fundraiser for the incredible Give Kids the World Village.
The 2022 version of DIS Con will take place on Friday, September 30, and Saturday, October 1. This year it will be held at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. There will also be an after-hours event at Epcot on October 1 that will include a spin or two on Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.
Tickets for DIS Con are now on sale. They cost $59.99 for a single day ticket, or $99.99 for a two-day pass. The after-hours event is $199.99. A VIP Pass is also available that covers both days, reserved seating at panels, the after-hours event, and a tax deductible donation of $159 to Give Kids the World. That pass costs $749.99. You can buy tickets here.
There are plenty of special guests who will be attending DIS Con this year. They include Linda Larkin and Jonathan Freeman, who will be hosting a 30th Anniversary Aladdin Panel. Another panel will feature Phineas & Ferb with Jeff “Swampy” Marsh, Dan Povenmire, Dee Bradley Baker, Vincent Martella, and Jaret Reddick. Bear in the Big Blue House will have a panel with Noel MacNeal, Vicki Eibner, Tyler Bunch, Peter Linz, and James Kroupa. Also attending will be Pat Sajak, Imagineer Tony Baxter, screenwriter, producer, and director John August, Must Do Disney host Stacey Aswad, and more. Keep in mind that all guests are subject to change.
I attended DIS Con last year when things were scaled back quite a bit, and I had a great time. With restrictions being lifted I have no doubt that this year will be even better!
Give Kids the World offers Wish Kids and their families free trips to Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort, and other area attractions. It is more than making memories on a family vacation. A stay at Give Kids the World Village provides the families with a break from medical appointments and the other stressful situations that no child should ever have to go through. The kids have a chance to be kids instead of patients for a few days.
If you’d like to learn more about Give Kids the World Village, you can do so here. Even if you can’t attend DIS Con, consider making a financial contribution if you are able to. Your donation of any size will help make magic for a child.
