Disney has released information on more changes that we can expect when they reopen in July. Remember, these measures are temporary. The changes are to keep people safe, and to better allow for social distancing. You can find the information from the source here.
The first change has to do with dining. All dining reservations at Disney owned restaurants have been canceled through the end of the year. This also includes dining plans and dining experiences. If the restaurant is owned by a third party, you might want to try Open Table. When reservations are available again, you will be able to make them 60 days out instead of 180. Disney states that dining reservations will open up again once the reopening dates draw closer. Reservations for behind the scenes tours have also been canceled. It looks like the experiences within Galaxy’s Edge have been canceled as well, although that isn’t confirmed.
Another change is with FastPass+. If you go on the My Disney Experience App, you might notice that the button to make FastPass+ reservations is gone. That is because FastPass+ will be temporarily suspended. Disney has been canceling FastPass+ reservations weekly, so if you currently have some in your account expect them to be gone soon.
Extra Magic Hours are being suspended as well. This is not a surprise. EMH are meant to allow guests to visit with smaller crowds, and the crowds will be small once the parks reopen, at least at the beginning.
We’re sure to hear more as July 11 grows closer. While some of these changes may be hard to imagine, it’s good to know that Disney is being extremely cautious. They want to keep guests and Cast Members safe.
