The first phase of the reopening of Walt Disney World has begun! Disney Springs will begin to reopen on May 20. According to Disney Parks Blog, the third party owned locations at Disney Springs will be allowed to reopen that day. It looks like the Disney owned locations will remain closed for the time being.
The stores and restaurants that reopen will be required to follow all Phase One guidelines. That includes keeping indoor capacity to 25%, and outdoor tables must be six feet apart. There will be limits on capacity and parking.
The rest of Walt Disney will still remain closed, with no opening date announced. There is one other bit of good news from the announcement. According to the post, “we’re also talking to our unions as we prepare for some cast members to return to work”. We have a long way to go, but this is a step in the right direction.
