Celebrate Earth Day at home! We’re missing Earth Day this year at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, but that doesn’t mean that it should be ignored. Disney has started a new series called Wilderness Explorers at Home. You can find it on the My Disney Experience App.
With Wilderness Explorers at Home, you’ll virtually collect badges. It includes a series of short videos, and activities for you to do while watching. You’ll start by learning the Secret Explorer Call. Play along. It’s a bit silly, but I think we’re all going stir crazy by now. A little bit of silliness might be exactly what we all need.
If you don’t see the Wilderness Explorers at Home video on your My Disney Experience App, try closing it and opening it again. A lot of people have complained that the new features aren’t showing up on the app. This is what has worked for me.
Disney had big plans for Earth Day this year. April 22 is the 50th Anniversary, and it is also the 25th Anniversary of the Disney Conservation Fund. While it’s sad that we can’t be at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, it’s nice that we have been given an opportunity to celebrate at home.
