My New Favorite Dining Experience at Walt Disney World

Not all that long ago I was part of a hosted resort showcase. We spent three nights at Disney’s Riviera Resort, we toured many of the other resorts, and we ate way too much food. We wrapped the experience up with what is probably my new favorite dining experience at Walt Disney World. I am talking about breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace.

There is so much to love about this new restaurant. We had dinner there as well, and that was great. But breakfast blew me away. I’ll start with the restaurant itself. It is huge! So many Disney restaurants feel cramped, but there is plenty of space at Topolino’s Terrace. It’s a rooftop restaurant, and you can head out onto the porch and enjoy one of the best views at Walt Disney World. The whole space is so relaxed that you won’t ever feel like leaving.

Goodies to share

Of course it does not matter how great the space is if the food is mediocre. You don’t have to worry about that at Topolino’s Terrace. I was there with a large group, and there was not one complaint about the food. We started with a plate of shared goodies for the table. Included on the side of the pastries were honey butter, house-made jam, and chocolate-hazelnut spread. From there it was the entrees. I ordered the Wild Mushroom Scramble, which was more of an omelet than a scramble. This is a plant-based option, and it was perfect! Beyond Sausage (which is also plant-based) was served on the side. I would order this again without hesitation. Our table ordered quite a variety of dishes, and everyone left full and happy.

The best part of all when it comes to breakfast a Topolino’s Terrace is that it is a character meal. There is plenty of character interaction! Not only did the characters come to the tables, every few minutes one or all of them would dance around the restaurant. It was a lot of fun. The characters are Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy. Since they’re on the Riviera, they are all embracing their inner artists. Mickey is a painter, Minnie a writer, Donald a sculptor, and Daisy a dancer. The characters embraced these roles, they seemed to have a lot of fun with it.

Breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace is still a fairly new meal, so you may not have heard much about it. This is a perfect meal if you’re looking for one last dose of Disney magic the day that you leave, or if you want a relaxing morning. Give yourself plenty of time, because this is one meal that you will not want to rush through. Breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace is near perfection.
