Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, What Is Going On?

A couple of days ago I told you about the changes at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The names in Florida were changed so that the foods sounded more familiar. Many Star Wars fans were furious, because they said that the new names took away from the total immersion experience.

Well, things have become really strange today. This morning I heard a couple of reports that the names are being changed back. Then I heard that they aren’t. If I had time I’d run up to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and try to learn more, but it’s been one of those days and I can’t fit it into my schedule.

To add to my confusion, I went on the My Disney Experience App when I heard that the names were changing back. The menu still had the non-Star Wars names. I went onto the Walt Disney World website on my phone, and the Star Wars names were back. I took a screenshot, I thought that confirmed that the names were returning. Less than an hour later I went on the website on my phone again, and the non-Star Wars names had returned.

So I don’t know if we’re getting the fun names back, or if we have to stick with names that are more familiar. I’ll do my best to stay on top of all of this, but I really don’t know what Disney is planning.

I do have one word of advice. Don’t let something like this ruin your Galaxy’s Edge experience. For that matter, don’t let it ruin your day. People get angry over so many things these days. I love Galaxy’s Edge, whether I’m ordering Felucian Garden Spread or Hummus Garden Spread. I’m not going to let a name change affect my experience. I hope more people try this mindset, because this is really not worth losing sleep over.
