This was how crowded Pandora was when I went to Disney After HoursIf you have read a fair amount of what I have written here at Disney Over 50, you know that I’m a big fan of Disney After Hours. With your ticket, you will enjoy the park in question with a limited number of other guests. You can enter the park at 7:00, and then at 9:00 everyone else has to leave. You’ll then enjoy three hours in the park! Disney After Hours is a great way to ride as many things as possible, including some rides that are known for long Wait Times. New dates have been announced for Disney After Hours. The Magic Kingdom will hold the special ticketed event November 18 and December 9, 2019, and January 6, 13, 17, and 20, 2020. Remember that Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will be taking place on select nights in November and December, which is why there are only two dates during those months.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom has also added Disney After Hours dates. There are quite a few more than at the Magic Kingdom. The 2019 dates are October 5, 9, 19, 26, 30, November 5, 13, 19, December 7, 14, and 18. In 2020 the dates are January 9, 16, 22, 30, February 6, 13, 19, 27, March 5, 12, 19, and 26.
Noticeably missing are dates at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. That is not saying that dates won’t be added, but honestly I kind of doubt it at the moment. Sorry, if you want to ride Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run you’ll have to wait in line with the rest of us. Epcot has never participated in Disney After Hours.
Disney After Hours is about the rides. There aren’t a lot of extra frills, although a dance party is always possible. Popcorn, ice cream novelties, and soda or bottled water are included in the price.
The cost for the dates above for Disney After Hours is $139 per adult or child, but that is if you purchase your ticket the day of. You can save $10 by buying your ticket in advance. Annual Passholders and DVC members can purchase an advance ticket for $99. That might sound like a lot of money for a short amount of time, but this is one special ticket that I highly recommend. You will be shocked by how much you can do in those three hours, and you will love seeing a nearly empty park.
