On July 25 (exactly five months before Christmas) I attended a Christmas in July event at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. I learned some great information, and I’ll be sharing a lot of it here over the next couple of days.
I thought that I’d start with Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, since tickets are already available. We already knew that there is going to be a brand new fireworks display this year. It will be called Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show, and there will be great viewing areas throughout the Magic Kingdom. It will feature some of your favorite Christmas songs, and we’ve been promised an unforgettable finale.
At the Christmas in July event we learned that some of your favorite attractions will receive Christmas overlays for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Space Mountain, Mad Tea Party, and Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor will all be in the holiday spirit. New this year as well will be a holiday theme for the Tomorrowland Speedway, although that will be for all guests at the Magic Kingdom, not just for the Christmas Party.
The rest of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will return this year. You can enjoy the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, A Frozen Holiday Wish, extra characters, cookies and cocoa, dance parties, and more. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party runs on select nights from November 8 through December 22. It is a special ticketed event. Tickets range from $99 to $139 for adults, the price for ages three through nine is $5 less. There is a discount for Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a lot of fun. I think that I am looking forward to the Space Mountain overlay the most this year. It’s a “blast” to think of what Christmas will look like from space!
