Passholder Previews Are Full

The spots went fast!

Today, July 25, Disney opened up Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Passholder Previews for the top three levels of Passholders. The email was sent at 11:00 Eastern. Three hours later, I checked again, and the event was full. I know that there are a lot of disappointed people out there right now.

I was lucky enough to be able to get a spot. I’ll be attending on August 19. There are two extra experiences that were available for the previews; Oga’s Cantina and Savi’s Workshop. Both of those were full when I registered, and I got in the virtual line just a few minutes after the registration email went out.

What is nice about Passholder Previews is that they keep the number of guests to a reasonable number. I’ve been to a few events, and there have never been huge crowds. We should be able to experience everything in our four hour window. What is not so nice is that the number of spots is so limited. Passholders pay quite a bit, and I know people who were left out of this.

There are also Passholders who never receive the emails for the Passholder events. I have no idea why that happens. The best advice that I can give is to check the settings in your My Disney Experience account. Make sure that you’re set to receive emails. I know people who have it set that way, and still don’t get them.

I remember when New Fantasyland opened, and there was a problem with the previews. Disney eventually opened more dates, so maybe that will happen this time. Maybe it won’t, I have no idea what they have planned.

If you were able to get a spot for a preview, congratulations! If that spot is on August 19, look for me. I’ll be easy to find, I’ll be the one wearing a Star Wars t-shirt…
