Star-Lord and his friends from XandarYou don’t have to wait until the opening of the Guardians of the Galaxy roller coaster to enjoy some time with Star-Lord and a few of his friends. Instead, you can stop by the America Gardens Theater at Epcot and catch Guardians of the Galaxy – Awesome Mix Live! You’ll have to hurry, though, the show runs only through August 18.
In Guardians of the Galaxy – Awesome Mix Live! Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord, is determined to teach a group from Xandar all about good music. There’s singing, dancing, and plenty of looks of disgust from Gamora. Baby Groot helps as well. The show is silly, but it’s also a lot of fun.
If you want more Guardians of the Galaxy than just the show, you can also enjoy some new treats. They are found at either Liberty Inn or Fife & Drum, which are both located in the American Adventure Pavilion. Try a Space Sandwich, Cosmic Cake, or Rocket Fuel.
Guardians of the Galaxy – Awesome Mix Live takes place five times a day, weather permitting. This is the second year for the show, and the cast does a great job. Last year seating was not a problem, so you might not need to arrive too early. You can enjoy some classic hits as you sit down for a while. You just might find yourself tapping your toe or, dare I say, singing along. These are songs from the 70s and 80s, there is a good chance that you know all the words.
