Pink and orange were our last two colors… MagicBands are included with the cost if you are an Annual Passholder or if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. The problem is that it is a solid color MagicBand that you will receive. If you would like a MagicBand that shows off a favorite character or attraction you would always have to pay full price; until now.
Walt Disney World is rolling out a new option for those who receive complimentary MagicBands. Instead of just receiving a plain MagicBand, you will be able to purchase one of 30 upgraded MagicBands. You are sure to find a design that you will love. You will not receive the new MagicBand for free, but you will pay $14.99 less. (That is the cost of a plain MagicBand if you buy it in the parks.) If the MagicBand that you want normally costs $24.99, you’ll pay $10. You will still be able to have your name on your MagicBand. The upgraded MagicBand option will be available, according to Disney Parks Blog, “soon”.
If you don’t like the idea of paying for your MagicBand, that is not a problem. You can still order a plain one for no extra charge. Although if you’re like me, you probably already have all the colors in your house somewhere. I like the idea of being able to have more choices. The hardest part is going to be deciding which one I want to order. Should I go with Darth Vader or Winnie the Pooh? Decisions, decisions…
