Walt Disney World has released the full list of celebrity narrators for the 2018 Candlelight Processional. When I wrote about this a few weeks ago, there were still two open spots. They have been filled, and they are exciting! November 28, 29, and 30 the narrator will be Robby Benson. December 1 and 2 we will see John Stamos.
Robby Benson is perhaps best known to Disney fans as the voice of the Beast in the animated version of Beauty and the Beast, but he’s had an impressive career that has spanned decades. I saw him on Broadway when I was in college and he was so good. John Stamos will always be known as Uncle Jesse from Full House, which is really a shame because he has also had an impressive career. It looks like I’ll be headed to the Candlelight Processional a lot this year because there are several narrators that I want to see.
The Candlelight Processional is the crown jewel of the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays. The narrator tells the story of the birth of Jesus, and is backed by a mass choir and a 50 piece orchestra. The choir is made-up partially of Cast Members and local students. The Candlelight Processional is held three times each night. It’s included with park admission. If you have never experienced the Candlelight Processional, I urge you to change that. It’s a moving experience.
Here’s the full list of narrators and the dates that they’ll be at Epcot. Remember that things can and do sometimes change.
