Why I Love the Concerts at Epcot

One of the things that I look forward to for both the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival and the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is the announcement of the concerts that will be held during the annual events. These are a great extra, and here are a few reasons why I love them so much.

Variety

There is a fantastic variety of artists and genres of music represented at the festivals. You’ll find pop, country, Christian, and more. That means that there is a little bit for everyone.

Length

The shows are short, they last about 30 minutes each. That means that you can enjoy the concert without it taking up a huge chunk of your day. There are three shows each evening, so you can be flexible with your schedule. If you want to attend the 5:30 show but discover that the wait for Test Track is 30 minutes, attend the 8:00 show instead.

Time Machine

Many of the artists have been around for a long time. It’s like I have stepped into a time machine when I hear songs that were popular when I was growing up. Some of these songs I haven’t heard in years. Other artists started when my daughter was little, so you don’t have to be over 50 to experience the time machine feeling.

Artists

The artists themselves seem to truly love playing at Epcot. That’s why some of them come back time and time again. I was part of a question and answer session with a couple of members of the Little River Band last spring. They said that it’s fun coming to Epcot, but it’s also challenging because they have to do three short shows instead of one longer one. It keeps them on their toes, and keeps up the energy level.

Cost

You can’t beat the cost of the concerts, since they’re included with park admission! If you want to make sure that you get a seat, book a Dining Package. Of course you’ll pay for that, but since you have to eat anyway you won’t be paying for something that you didn’t need.
