While you can bring snacks into the four Walt Disney World theme parks with you, there are some theme park snacks that you might want to buy. Here are a few of the classic ones.
Churro
A churro is a long, thin doughnut. It’s usually covered with cinnamon and sugar. Sometimes they come with chocolate or caramel dipping sauce.
Funnel Cake
This is a theme park classic, and there are several variations that you can buy at Walt Disney World. Batter is pushed through a funnel and then fried, hence the name. Classic funnel cakes are covered with powdered sugar, but you can also get them with ice cream, whipped topping, chocolate sauce, or fruit topping.
Cupcakes
If you think that there is nothing special about cupcakes, you obviously have not been to one of the bakeries at Walt Disney World. They take cupcakes to a whole new level. There are creative flavors, and also cupcakes made to resemble characters. If there is a special occasion going on, there is bound to be a cupcake to celebrate it.
Turkey Leg
For some people a turkey leg is a snack, for others it is a meal. You might want to consider the latter, because the legs sold at Walt Disney World weigh approximately 1.5 pounds. There is no truth to the rumor that they are really emu meat, they come from large turkeys.
Popcorn
There is a special reason why you will want to buy popcorn as a snack at Walt Disney World. There are souvenir buckets! Some of these buckets become so popular that the line for a popcorn cart will rival some rides. Once you have the bucket you can refill it for only $1.75. That price will be good for each refill for your entire stay.
Mickey Pretzel
A soft, warm pretzel shaped like the world’s most famous mouse, what’s not to love? Mickey Pretzels are sold in many different places. Often they come with a cup of cheese for dipping. Mickey Pretzels are filling, and they’re great to tide you over between meals.
Dole Whip
This frozen pineapple treat will put a smile on your face on a hot day. Dole Whip is vegan and gluten free, and the best part of all is that it is delicious! It is also hydrating, which is important under the Florida sun. Some locations outside of the Magic Kingdom sell Dole Whip with rum.
Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar
Sometimes the simplest things in life are the best. A Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar is simply vanilla ice cream that’s covered in chocolate and served on a stick. It’s shaped like your favorite mouse, which makes it just a little bit sweeter. If you don’t want the bar you can enjoy a Mickey shaped ice cream sandwich instead. There are carts and kiosks selling Mickey Premium Ice Cream bars everywhere, and they are also sold in some of the stores.
