Children are measured outside of rides where there is a height requirementAlthough I do have this information in other places, I thought that it might be helpful to have a list of all of the height requirements at Walt Disney World in one place. Remember that these are taken seriously, a child could be measured several times before being allowed to get on the ride. Keep this list handy, and then either use Rider Switch (ask a Cast Member at the ride’s entrance) or avoid the ride all together. You can also download a PDF of the list here.
Magic Kingdom:
The Barnstormer, Fantasyland; must be at least 35 inches.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Frontierland; must be at least 40 inches.
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Fantasyland; must be at least 38 inches.
Space Mountain, Tomorrowland; must be at least 44 inches.
Splash Mountain, Frontierland; must be at least 40 inches.
Stitch’s Great Escape, Tomorrowland (open seasonally); must be at least 40 inches.
Tomorrowland Speedway, Tomorrowland; must be at least 32 inches to ride, and 54 inches to ride alone. Children at least 32 inches can drive only if accompanied by someone who is at least 54 inches.
Epcot:
Mission: SPACE, Future World; must be at least 40 inches for Green Mission, and 44 inches for Orange Mission.
Soarin’, Future World; must be at least 40 inches.
Test Track, Future World; must be at least 40 inches.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios:
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge; must be at least 38 inches.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, Sunset Boulevard; must be at least 48 inches.
Star Tours – The Adventures Continue, Echo Lake; must be at least 40 inches.
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge; must be at least 40 inches.
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Sunset Boulevard; must be at least 40 inches.
Slinky Dog Dash, Toy Story Land; must be at least 38 inches.
Alien Swirling Saucers, Toy Story Land; must be at least 32 inches.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom:
Avatar Flight of Passage, Pandora – The World of Avatar; must be at least 44 inches.
DINOSAUR, DinoLand U.S.A.; must be at least 40 inches.
Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain, Asia; must be at least 44 inches.
Kali River Rapids, Asia; must be at least 38 inches.
Primeval Whirl, DinoLand U.S.A.; must be at least 48 inches.
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park:
Bay Slides; maximum height is 60 inches.
Crush ‘n’ Gusher; must be at least 48 inches.
Humunga Kowabunga; must be at least 48 inches.
Ketchakiddee Creek; maximum height is 48 inches.
Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park:
Chairlift; must be at least 32 inches.
Downhill Double Dipper; must be at least 48 inches.
Slush Gusher; must be at least 48 inches.
Summit Plummet; must be at least 48 inches.
Tike’s Peak; maximum height is 48 inches.
Disney Springs:
Marketplace Carousel, Marketplace; must be at least 42 inches to ride alone. If an adult is accompanying a child who does not meet the height requirement, there will be no charge for the adult.
Marketplace Train Express, Marketplace; must be at least 48 inches to ride alone. If an adult is accompanying a child who does not meet the height requirement, there will be no charge for the adult.
Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire by ILMxLAB and The VOID, Marketplace; must be at least 48 inches.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort:
Sammy Duvall’s Watersports Centre; height requirements vary, depending on the activity.
The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort:
Horseback Riding, Tri-Circle-D Ranch; must be at least nine years old, at least 48 inches, and weigh under 250 pounds.
Pony Rides, Tri-Circle-D Ranch; must be at least two years old, 48 inches or under, and weigh under 80 pounds.
