Star Tours- The Adventures Continue is a 3D motion simulator ride that allows guests to feel as if they are part of the Star Wars universe. There are four different sections to the ride. The first part is on a Star Destroyer and you will learn that there is a spy on board. The second section will take you to a planet. Third, you’ll meet a Star Wars character, who will give further instructions for the spy. Finally, you’ll head to one more planet. You’ll have to ride several times in order to experience everything, since there are different scenarios. Currently the first planet is Jakku and the second Crait, but it was developed that way for the release of The Last Jedi. There are other planets that will return eventually.
Your pilot for Star Tours is C-3PO, and he’s aided by R2-D2. You’ll see them in the indoor queue before you board as well. The queue is half the fun of the ride, it has the feel of an airport as far as flight announcements and weather conditions are concerned, but you will know all along that you’re firmly planted in a galaxy far, far away. Don’t miss the two scanning droids along the way, one is scanning bags and the other passengers. They’re both really funny. If the line is long you’ll wander through the forest moon of Endor before you enter the hangar.
Star Tours – The Adventures Continue has a height requirement of 40 inches or taller. Read the warnings if you have a medical condition, and it is not recommended for expectant mothers. If you are prone to motion sickness, you might want to skip it.
