If you don’t want 2019 to start with the crowds that you’ll find in the theme parks, there are two ways to celebrate at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. While it seems like New Year’s Eve is a long time from now, these packages will sell out quickly, so you’re not going to want to put it off.
The first option is Pixar Party: A New Year’s Eve Celebration. It’s a family friendly party. Sarge will greet guests when they arrive, and then they’ll be surrounded by all things Pixar. There will be a DJ Dance Party, Boot Camp with Sarge, plenty of characters, and a Pixar themed buffet. You’ll ring in the New Year by watching the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom in the distance. Pixar Party: A New Year’s Eve Celebration will take place 8:00pm until 12:15am. The cost is $190 per person.
Disney Countdown to Midnight is geared more towards adults. Guests are invited to dress up and enjoy the magic around them. There will be dancing, food from signature restaurants, and an appearance by Mickey and Minnie. You’ll bring in the New Year by watching the Magic Kingdom fireworks in the distance, while sipping champagne out of a souvenir flute. The party runs from 8:00pm until 12:15am, and costs $275 per person.
Those who are interested in Disney Countdown to Midnight can choose the VIP package as well. It’s called Ink and Paint Club Experience. It starts an hour before Disney Countdown to Midnight right next door. There will be a live pianist, a lot more food, and reserved seating at Disney Countdown to Midnight. The VIP package costs $450 total per guest. You must purchase it when you make your Disney Countdown to Midnight reservation, you cannot add it on at a later date.
