More ways to be a D23 Gold Member!D23 is the official fan club of all things Disney. General Membership is free, and it allows you to enter various contests and there are a couple of other perks. D23 Gold Membership is paid, and you need it to register for some events. There have always been extra perks with D23 Gold, including a gift each year.
Starting on January 1, 2025, D23 is revamping its Gold Membership. In the past there have been two levels, Gold Individual and Gold Duo. Next year there will be three D23 Gold levels, each with additional perks. According to D23:
Each Gold Membership plan will continue to include access to D23 events, discounts, and special offers, with the addition of an exclusive D23 Gold Membership Kit, complete with a membership certificate and card, a Savings Passport (providing discounts with Disney and Friends of Disney), collectible Stitch pin, Goofy and Max car magnet, plus a special D23 Disney Lorcana trading card featuring Iago from the Disney classic Aladdin (1992), plus, beginning with the Spring 2025 issue, the Disney twenty-three publication will come in a visually stunning digital and interactive version.
The cheapest will be Gold Member Essential Plan. It will cost $49.99 a year.
Want a little bit more? The second plan costs the same as the current D23 Gold Individual Plan. It will be called the Gold Member Choice Plan, and you’ll get to choose what your reward is! According to D23, the choices are:
- A one-of-a-kind, fashionable D23 Gold Member Spirit Jersey;
- A limited-release collectible D23 Gold Member Pin Box Set, featuring 10 pins with original character designs;
- A D23 Gold Member Fan Pack complete with a D23 Gold Member-embroidered crossbody bag, water bottle, and chino twill cap; or
- An enchanting replica of the Disneyland Park Entrance plaque (measuring 12 inches by 7 inches), a reproduction of the original plaque text draft with Walt Disney’s annotations from 1955, along with a first-to-market exclusive edition of the brand-new Disneyland 70th anniversary book, The Happiest Place on Earth, written by Disney Legend Don Hahn and former Disney Imagineer Christopher Merritt.
Can’t decide which reward you want? Then the Gold Complete Plan is for you! It includes everything in the Gold Member Choice Plan. It costs $299.99 a year.
Only you can decide which plan you want, or if it’s even worth it to purchase a D23 Gold Membership. With Destination D23 coming up next August, which is only for Gold Members, the Gold Member Essential Plan will be welcome for many. Last year Destination D23 sold out in a matter of minutes, leaving many people with Gold Memberships that they didn’t really want. If that happens again, at least this time they’ll have paid less.
