Funtastic Depot is a brand new indoor attraction that just opened in Orlando. There is something for the whole family. My daughter and I were invited to check it out, and we had a great time. There is something for everyone.
When you enter Funtastic Depot, the first thing that you’ll do is fill out a waiver for everyone in your party. You can scan a QR Code and do it on your phone, or you can use one of the computers there. You can also fill out the waiver online ahead of time.
Next, you’ll check in. There are different packages available. The staff is friendly and will answer any questions that you have. This is where you can purchase an arcade card.
The first room that you’ll encounter is filled with arcade games, some Ninja challenges, climbing walls, and a huge climbing and sliding playground for the kids. You’ll scan the arcade card, the price for each activity is clearly marked.
The main attraction at Funtastic Depot is the Inflatable Concept Park. Think of it as a giant bounce house. When I say giant, I mean it! The floor is part of the fun.
There are different games along the edges of the Inflatable Concept Park. There are balance challenges, giant slides, and all kinds of fun. Even the floor is bouncy. I don’t think that there was one child there who wasn’t laughing.
That’s not all. There is a live show that takes place in the Inflatable Concept Park. Two acrobats performed various jumping and tumbling stunts, using the bounciness of the floor as part of the act. The live show was filled with both humor and “how did they do that” moments. It was my favorite part of the day. After the live show, a DJ kept the party atmosphere going.
Speaking of parties, Funtastic Depot is a great place for a birthday party or other celebration. There are three different party rooms, and it looks like two of them can be combined for a larger group.
If you get hungry while at Funtastic Depot, they have you covered. I don’t know if you can even call it a “snack” bar, because there are so many options. You can order pizza, sandwiches, burritos, quesadillas, and more. There are smaller snacks as well, drinks, and the all so important Dippin’ Dots.
A couple of warnings about Funtastic Depot. First, it is very loud. If noises bother you, you may want to bring earplugs. Second, the floor in the Inflatable Concept Park was not created for the over 50 crowd. It isn’t the easiest thing to walk across. Kids have no problems, but if you’re like me and you’re overly cautious, you’ll want to take your time. I have balance issues from when I broke my ankle, so I was extra careful, but I did it! If you don’t want to attempt walking across the inflated floor I was told that you can watch the live show on the screens in the room before you enter that area.
All in all, Funtastic Depot is a fan-tastic addition to the Orlando area attractions. It’s close to Orlando International Airport, so if you have a late flight and are looking for a way for the kids to blow off some steam, this could be your answer. The address is 6828 Hoffner Avenue, Orlando, Florida, 32822. You can learn more about Funtastic Depot here. I’d like to thank the staff for hosting my daughter and me, even though my daughter did beat me at air hockey…
