There is a lot going on at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! While we still do not know the dates, we have learned that the tumble monkeys will soon be back in Festival of the Lion King! The birds will before too long soar overhead again as well. The birds are currently in the show, but Can You Feel the Love Tonight is right now a dance on the ground.
That isn’t all. There is going to be a change in Disney KiteTails. The show will shift a bit so that it can be enjoyed from more spots along the Discovery River Lagoon. This makes sense, since people will often watch from the sides instead of sitting in the stands. The performances will be shorter, and there will be more of them throughout the day.
Character Flotillas aren’t going anywhere either! They will take place between Disney KiteTails performances. These character cruises are one of my favorite additions since Walt Disney World reopened in July, 2020.
In other news; Mickey and Minnie will return to Adventurers Outpost to greet there once again. We don’t know if it will be on April 18, when up close greetings start to be phased back in. The Disney Parks Blog post says “in the coming months”, so it might be a while.
The final “in the coming months” news is about “Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond”. We still don’t know when it will open, but we do know that things are progressing. I’ll keep you posted.
