Disney isn’t the only ship in the sea! Or something like that…

I’ve been talking a lot about Disney Cruise Line lately. I’m still on a high from our Star Wars Day at Sea cruise on the Disney Fantasy a few weeks ago. Without a doubt, cruising is my favorite type of vacation right now. I absolutely adore Disney Cruise Line, which is why you might be surprised by what I am about to say.

If you’re looking for an inexpensive cruise vacation, consider another cruise line. Disney Cruise Line might not offer what you are looking for.

I have a friend who loves cruising. She and her husband try to go whenever they can. They do not cruise with Disney, because they do not want to pay the price for the Disney name. I can respect that.

For me, cruising with Disney is worth the cost in most cases. It isn’t just the fact that there are characters. I love the overall experience. The service is unlike anything that I’ve had on other vacations. I think it’s worth it, at least for my family.

That said, my new dream cruise is to Alaska. This is one voyage that I would consider booking on a different cruise line. The price to Alaska on the Disney Wonder is way out of my reach.

I’ve been told by several people that once you cruise with Disney Cruise Line, you’ll never want to cruise with anyone else. I’ve never cruised on another line, so I don’t have anything to compare my trips to.

If you dream of taking your first cruise but are on a tight budget, save some money and book with another cruise line. There are plenty of deals to be found right now!
