Animatronics can be as temperamental as the characters that they portray… Disney will often have backups ready in case something does not work correctly. This is the case with Rise of the Resistance. If one of the Kylo Ren animatronics near the end is not working properly, you might see a different scene with him in his ship. It took me by surprise the first (and only) time that I saw it.
