What would you use your discount for?I have a couple of special merchandise discounts that I’d like to share with you this week. These discounts are not available to everyone, but if you fall into one of two groups you can save a decent amount of money.
The first discount is for Annual Passholders. Normally the AP discount is 20 percent at most merchandise locations, which is a decent savings. From September 15 until October 29, the discount is going to increase to 30 percent! Recently Disney had a 30 percent discount for Passholders, and I was thrilled with the amount of money that I saved. I will be taking advantage of this one!
The second discount is for Florida Residents. A limited time merchandise discount of 20 percent is about to be offered, just for living in the Sunshine State. The dates are the same, September 15 through October 29, but there is an exception here. The Florida Resident merch discount is good only Monday through Thursday. On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday you will pay full price. Proof of Florida residency is required to receive the discount.
The even better news is that if something is on sale, you will get the discount on top of the sale price! I recently shared that most 2020 merchandise is BOGO, and that Flower & Garden as well as Pride merchandise is currently 30 percent off. The extra discount will be calculated after the first discount has been applied. It will be possible to save quite a bit, starting on September 15.
The discounts are found at stores and merchandise locations that are owned and operated by Disney. Some stores are owned by a third party, and the discounts will not be available at those. If you’re an Annual Passholder or a Florida Resident, ask if there is a discount, even if you aren’t sure. You just might save some money.
