Scavenger Hunts are popular during the Epcot Festivals. I am not talking about the hunts where you will look for figures around World Showcase and then collect a prize. (Those are popular as well.) The Scavenger Hunts that I am talking about will take you to various food booths at the festival. I guess it’s not really much of a hunt, since you’re told where to go and what to ask for. At the Festival of the Holidays we had the Holiday Cookie Stroll. For the Festival of the Arts, it’s the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine. Since you’ll be taking a walk you won’t have to worry about the calories, right?
The first thing that you need to do when you enter the park for any festival is to pick up a Festival Passport. For the Festival of the Arts the page that you need is in the very back. That is where you will find the information on the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine. (Isn’t that a great retro name?) It will tell you what dishes are involved, and which booths you can find them at. As I said, it isn’t much of a hunt, but it can still be fun.
There are five different locations that participate in the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine. When you order the item, ask the Cast Member to stamp your passport. The stamps are different colors, and the place where they will stamp them is shaped like a painter’s palette. Once you have all five, just head to the sixth location. You will be able to pick up a complimentary treat!
I am not going to list the locations or what you need to order here. After all, I want to keep some of the hunt in it for you! You do not need to complete the walk all in one day. You just need to finish it by February 24 (the festival’s last day) in order to receive your treat. If you stop by the festival more than once, make sure that you bring the same passport with you so that you can get the stamps that you are missing.
You know that you are going to want to try several different dishes that represent the culinary arts, and the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine is a great way to do just that. I love the little extras that they have at each festival. They add to the fun.
