Disney After Hours is a special ticketed event in which you can spend some time in a park with a very limited number of other guests after it has closed to the general public. It’s kind of like Early Morning Magic, except more is open, it’s in the evening, and a full meal is not included. Up until now, Disney After Hours has been exclusively at the Magic Kingdom, but that is all about to change. Soon the event will also be held at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
I have not attended Disney After Hours, but I have a friend who has and she raves about it. You can walk onto anything, because the number of tickets sold is so limited. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, it will be held this year on December 8, 15, and 22, and then next year January 5, 12, 19, February 2, 9, 16, March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, April 6, and 13. At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the dates this year are December 4, 12, and 18, and in 2019 January 8, 16, 22, 31, February 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 26, March 5, 20, 27, and April 3. The Magic Kingdom dates; for this year November 26, December 3, and 10, and then next year January 7, 17, 24, 28, February 7, 14, 28, and March 7.
With Disney After Hours, you will have three hours of park time. (You really have more than that, because you can enter the park at 7:00pm.) You’ll be able to ride everything that you want in the amount of time that some people wait in line for Avatar Flight of Passage during the day! Ice cream novelties and drinks are included in the price. Tickets for the event at any of the three parks are $125 in advance, and $129 the day of the event. Disney Vacation Club Members and Annual Passholders pay $95. Tax is not included in the price. When you think about it, the price is comparable to a one day ticket, and you will not have to wait in lines.
