Tours are a special way to get a better idea of how the Disney magic is created. Since the Christmas Season is the most magical time of year at Walt Disney World, there are two different tours that you can sign up for that will take you behind the scenes. Both are run by Adventures by Disney. One tour is Disney’s Yuletide Fantasy. The second is Disney’s Holiday D-Lights. Both are special, and either will help you to gain a new appreciation of all that goes on behind the scenes.
This is the information for Disney’s Yuletide Fantasy. I was recently on an early version as part of a media group, we got to experience most of the tour. Remember if you sign up for a tour that you will not be allowed to take pictures in backstage areas (places that aren’t open to the public) but there are a couple of photo opportunities along the way where pictures will be taken and then you’ll be given information on how you can download them.
Part of Disney’s Yuletide Fantasy is information. You will learn a lot about how Disney prepares for the holidays. You’ll also get to visit the headquarters for Disney Floral & Gifts, and you can see some Cast Members as they work to create memories. You’ll see some of the finished products, which just might give you some ideas for things that you might want to order for your own vacation. Another important part of Disney’s Yuletide Fantasy takes place at Disney Springs. This is both delicious and fun. You’ll head to Amorette’s Patisserie where you’ll learn about making holiday treats. You’ll then be able to create a holiday themed treat of your own.
These are just some of the highlights of Disney’s Yuletide Fantasy. The entire tour lasts about three and a half hours. The first official tour will take place on November 19, and it will be held on select days through December 29. The cost is $139 per person, and all guests need to be 12 or older. Everyone will receive a special keepsake when their tour is over. For more information or to make reservations, call 407-WDW-TOUR (407-939-8687).
