A Pop-up Shop for Annual Passholders

Head to Germany

If you are an Annual Passholder, there is a brand new way to shop at Epcot! Das Kaufhaus in Germany has temporarily been turned into a pop-up Passholder store. It is open 11:30-park closing, Monday through Friday only. The location will remain there until November 17. I was part of an invited media group I thought that I’d share the basics with you guys as well.

You didn’t have to wait if you didn’t want to

The store is for Annual Passholders only. You will need to show proof, and you can’t bring someone who is not a Passholder in with you. Since they are social distancing, there were two lines. You could join the Virtual Queue, or you could wait in the standby line. I went back at the end of the day and there was no wait to get in.

Passholder Pride!

There is a good variety of merchandise for sale in the store. You’ll find plenty of ways to show your love of being an Annual Passholder. There is also some World Showcase merchandise for sale. If you’re looking for a bargain, there are still Passholder items from the Flower & Garden Festival. Those are on sale for 50 percent off. There are other select World Showcase items that offer the same discount.

Half off?

There is something that you need to keep in mind when it comes to the sale items. You are also eligible to still receive your Passholder discount. For the things that are half off, look at the price marked, cut it in half, and then figure your Passholder discount off of that! That is a sweet savings!

Half off again?

One more thing to keep in mind, the Annual Passholder discount is currently 30 percent. That means that the $29.99 Figment T-shirt from Flower & Garden is now only $10.50. That’s cheaper than a T-shirt at Target! The 30 percent discount runs through October 29, and then it returns to 20 percent. That’s still a bargain.

Which would you pick?

If you spend $50 or more, you’ll have your choice of a cutting board or a coaster set. I have a feeling that those were going to be incentives for the Food & Wine Festival this year, pre-COVID. That’s just a guess on my part, but if you’ve seen past incentives and then take a look at these you’ll know what I’m talking about.

Another perk of being a Passholder

The Passholder items for the Food & Wine Festival are not sold in the pop-up store. Those are still found out in the park. But the temporary location has a lot of interesting items. I may have purchased a couple of things when I returned later in the day…
