Someone is ready to celebrate!

Earth Day is always a great day to visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom, because it is also the anniversary of the park’s opening. It opened on April 22, 1998. This year, Disney plans to celebrate like never before. That’s because this year Earth Day will also be the 25th anniversary of Disney Conservation Fund. The festivities will begin on April 18, and run until April 22.

It sounds like there will be plenty going on for all ages. Wilderness Explorers will have special activities. There will be extra characters, speakers, and entertainment. There will be behind the scenes tours, as well as special food and merchandise. That will be just part of the fun.

This year Tiffins Talks will return for the event. This is a four course meal, with none other than legendary Imagineer Joe Rhode! Registration will be required, and will open on February 18. I expect that the spots will fill up quickly.

These are just a few of the ways that Disney plans to celebrate Earth Day this year. It sounds like it will be a great few days! You can learn more information here.
