The Mardi Gras Parade isn’t returning, but the floats are

One extremely popular event each year at Universal Orlando Resort is Mardi Gras. It takes place at Universal Studios Florida, and it runs well past Fat Tuesday. This year, there will be no concerts and no large parade, but the celebration has not been canceled.

Possibly taking a page from the festivals at Epcot, this year’s Mardi Gras celebration is going to be food focused. It’s called Mardi Gras 2021 International Flavors of Carnaval. It will feature popular dishes and beverages from Puerto Rico, New Orleans, Germany, and Trinidad and Tobago. There will also be other flavors scattered throughout Universal Studios. You can purchase a lanyard so that you can taste and sip at several different spots.

While the parade will not take place in its traditional form, you will still be able to see the floats. They will be on display in several places. There will be live music on the Music Plaza Stage. There will also be extra entertainment throughout the park. This includes beads.

Mardi Gras at Universal Orlando Resort will begin on February 6, and will run daily through March 28. It is included with your theme park admission. You can find more information here.
