Another Way to Help Cast Members

A Cast Member making magic…

No one expected for the Coronavirus crisis to go on for this long, or for thousands of Cast Members to lose their jobs. I’ve shared with you many ways that you can help. You can find a service that is offered by a furloughed Cast Member through the Ear for Each Other Facebook page. You can donate to Cast Member Pantry. You can help the children of Cast Members to have their Christmas wishes come true through Cast Member Toy Box. I’ve found another option if you want to help.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and many current and furloughed Cast Members are wondering how they are going to provide meals for their families. That is what Castgiving 2020 is all about. The organization wants to provide Thanksgiving baskets to as many Cast Members as possible. The Cast Member does not need to be furloughed. Many Cast Members who are working have had their hours cut, and are struggling to make ends meet. Others have a spouse who is not working right now. Castgiving is about helping as many Cast Members as possible.

There are several ways that you can help. You can make a financial donation through Venmo or PayPal. You can purchase an item through the Amazon Wish List. There is also a silent auction, so you might be able to give and receive at the same time. Remember, no donation is too small.

Cast Members often tend to put the needs of others ahead of their own. They don’t want to ask for help, because they know that there are others with larger problems. If you know of a Cast Member in need who won’t ask for help, you can nominate him or her. You could help someone who has made magic for others to have a magical Thanksgiving.

I know that there are needs all over the country right now. Everyone has been affected by the pandemic. I want to encourage you again to give if you are able. It doesn’t have to be to Castgiving or another organization to help Cast Members. It also doesn’t have to be a financial donation. Order gifts from a struggling business, or volunteer for an organization that has tugged on your heartstrings. We all have a lot to be thankful for, even in 2020. God bless you, my friends.
